Nationally recognized as one of the finest plain aire realist landscape painters in New England during the 20th century. He was one of the most highly decorated with approximately 100 awards including seven gold medals to his credit. Corey painted on location all over the northeast alongside other great New England masteres who were his friends including Lester Stevens, Emile Gruppe, Paul Strisik and many others.
