Briefly concerning the artist — 

Thomas Nason has no peers in the art of wood engraving. He is one of the most distinguished artists of our time; one who embodies those characteristics of art associated with the great masters of all time. His election as an artist member of the American Institute of Arts and Letts, an honor reserved for the few and the great, is a public testimonial to the unique position that this much-revered artist holds in America. It would be impossible to list all of the honors bestowed upon him.

Annually, his works are chosen for the Fine Prints of the Year and the Fifty Prints of the Year. Leading his numerous awards is the Diplome d’Honneur of the International Exhibition of Wood Engraving in Warsaw; his works are in the collections of every museum here and abroad including the Art Institute of Chicago, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Cleveland Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris, Victoria and Albert Museum in London and many others.
