Bernard Corey is nationally recognized as one of the finest plain aire realist landscape painters active in New England in the 20th century. He was also one of the most highly decorated with approximately 100 awards including seven gold medals to his credit. Corey painted on location all over the northeast alongside other great New England masteres who were his friends including Lester Stevens, Emile Gruppe, Paul Strisik and many others.
