This artwork was stored in an archival environment since its acquisition. In 2024, the frederic gallery framed this piece in-house in high quality, archival materials and crafted wood frame.

alice gene kloss discovered taos, new mexico on her honeymoon in 1945. falling in love with the landscape and architecture, she began documenting it through her art. originally from berkeley, she and her husband worked in a colony of artists once they relocated. her chosen medium was printmaking but occasionally utilized watercolor or oil. kloss created a new method of etching by painting acid on top of her plate, resulting in this unique quality and highlighted by sharp lines.
